THEIR TEARS, MY CARE
We've outsourced our memories to digital devices, and the result is that we no longer trust our memories. We see every small forgotten thing as evidence that they're failing us.

Within this series of archival inkjet prints, I present digital scans of polaroid
a test to determine the deterioration of our eyesight, accompanied by diamond-shaped figures, alluding to the Indigenous Philippines Ilocano tribal symbols for eyes. These are paired with pixelated depictions of food, distorted beyond recognition. Together, they embody my cultural struggle to remember and recreate those home-cooked meals of my youth, only to discover they are lost within the fog of memory.
